Common Industrial, Hazardous and Special Waste (CIW-HIW-SIW)

Common Industrial Waste (CIW)

Common industrial waste (CIW) is neither hazardous nor inert generated by businesses that could possibly be processed in the same plants as domestic waste : boxes, glass, kitchen waste, packaging, textile waste, etc.
The SIRMET group guarantees the traceability of CIW, due to full management of the treatment process.

Hazardous Industrial Waste (HIW)

Hazardous industrial waste (HIW) is the category that regroups hazardous waste other than hazardous household waste and waste resulting from healthcare activities with danger of infection.
It is particularly harmful to the environment.
That is why they can only be collected, stored and handled by authorized firms like those in the SIRMET group.
Note that the SIRMET group is also qualified to dismantle and recycle uncontaminated transformers and store polluted transformers in transit.

Special Industrial Waste (SIW)

Special Industrial Waste (SIW) means waste that poses environmental and public health risks. It is currently preferable to use the term hazardous waste (or hazardous industrial waste - HIW) over special industrial waste.
